On our third morning, it rained. Not water, but pearls. They slid down the carved leaves of an alien flora, chiming softly as they fell. The leaves themselves glowed with amber warmth, as if lit from within by persistent hope. We shaped them into earrings to honor the revelation: on Jupiter, even storms choose beauty.
